Hey Ladies, Vonna like you I

Hey Ladies,
Vonna like you I feel I just get better with age. I just had my 50th B-Day and damn if I don't feel young!!! Holly I can't wait to hear more of James' songs. If they compare to JGSLY then I'm going to be in Heaven!!! I can't wait till the 23rd....i'm going go see James.....WOOOHOOO YEEHAW Grneyestx58

"aged to perfection"

Agree that "age" is not a factor when appreciating music...especially when we're talking about the Biggest Voice in Country Music.

Just because I purchase a ticket to a concert, doesn't mean that I'll stay seated. Though I'm old enough to be James' mother and then some, I know that I can keep up with y'all youngins'.

I'm really excited as I'll finally get to see & hear James perform in late July. Senior citizens can have fun too!

Not quite....LOL

Naw Holly,

Like I said, I am just aging well! No one ever guesses how old I am correctly, so it's cool you believe I look like I am still in my 30's!! James and I are 10 years apart in age, so I never forget how old he will be on his birthday! HA!

*~Vonna Rose~*

I never would have guess that you were that age. (smiles)

I thought that you and James were around the same age. (smiles)

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly in East Tennessee

I ain't old......I am aged to Perfection! LOL

grneyestx58 ,

I just turned 45 and I just feel like the older I get the better I am! I love that James' music crosses the age barrier and thrills the masses! We are happy to have all ages here and supporting and promoting the Biggest Voice in Country Music!!!!

Not so Young!

Hey just to let you know some of us on this site have been around the block a few times. Like early 40's and I know of someone on the site that will be celebrating her close to 50 birthday this month. And boy is she a groupie! But alas, listening to Mr. Otto makes us feel and act young again.
lanamiller68

If you love that song so much...(smiles)

You should check out the songs "The Bigger the Caddy" and "The Man That I Am". They are LETHAL WEAPONS. (smiles)

God bless you and James always!!!

THE SEXIEST SONG EVER............

I grew up in the 60's & 70's where we used transistor radios (some of you may have to ask your parents what those are!!) like we use iPods today. I always had music around me, and even today I have to have my music, especially since "JUST GOT STARTED LOVIN' YOU" came out. This has to be the Sexiest song ever, even across all genre's of music. I am a huge fan of Toby Keith's, but even 'WHISKEY GIRL" (which could've been written about me!!!!) doesn't compare! Sorry Toby. I have to listen to this song everyday at least 10 X/day. I said AT LEAST meaning more in reality! One of my playlist on my iPod is this song over and over 15 times. I go to sleep listening to this and wake up listening to this. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THIS SONG. On my way to and from work (takes 45 mins) I plug my iPod into my car radio and this is all I listen to. OF COURSE I sing right along with James, but i can't seem to get the first line down when i sing by myself. It's that tricky part..."you can call and tell'em you won't be in today". Anyways, I have never joined a fan club per se so this is new to me, but this song is incredibly awesome and I just had to talk about it. Sooooooooo I guess I am now an 'OTTOMANIAC' ;) He is going to be in Beaumont on the 23rd and you can bet I'll be in Beaumont on the 23rd too!!! I know most, if not all of you are probably in your late 20's early 30's ?????, but it doesn't matter how young or old we might be, Music touches us all.

Arizona Concert?

When I first heard "Just Got Started Lovin You" I absolutely loved it. I fell in love with James' voice. It's so sexy!

Will James be coming to Arizona? If so, where and when?

I'd love to see him in concert! He's so hot!

L

Is James going to be seeing this special made video? (smiles)

I am just wondering. (smiles)

God bless you and him always!!!

Thank you, but what am I going to do with me? (shaking my head)

The CD was not in the plastic holder, but the pictures were and now they are all wrinkled and.....it went into the toilet! That right there is just it! Of all of the things that could have happened to it......why the toilet??? (stunned)

I pray that you are able to get your Sunset Man CD. Is there any way that your player can be taken out and then taken a part maybe to get your CD out of it?

God bless you and James always!!!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Nice pictures Stacy! Looks like you had a great time! James IS the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow!

~ Michelle ~

awww... don't be so hard on yourself..

James wouldn't want you crying over that! My copy of sunset man is stuck in my cd player in the van and I can't get it out OR play it... now thats a reason to cry!

As promised..pictures!!

I was a VERY bad girl today for my birthday! (shaking hard)

I am an absolute disgrace as a fan of James!!! Because of me, my copy of his first album fell right into the toilet at our local McDonald's place! Literally!!! Thank God the water in the bowl was clean, but why did it have to land in there???!!! This was not how I wanted to celebrate my birthday.....(crying hard...again)

God bless you and James always!!!

P.S. Yes, I cried myself to sleep over this. I may cry again when I go to bed. (burying my head in total shame)

Sweet!

Glad to hear you had a good time and glad you're hooked! I hope we get to see those pix soon! :)

late 1990's

I was a frequent visitor of the Bluebird Cafe and was lucky to have met James there in 1997. He was so amazing that I fell in love with his voice immediately. I don't feel short very often but then he stood up. We talked a little and he told me another place that he would be playing so I had to go see him again. The passion that he had for his music was just so deep. I felt every word. He seemed like such a genuine person (he was and I am sure still is) and felt comfortable enough to ask him to come to a concert with me. It was Christmas for Kids and we saw two of my music idols. There were other people that I had met in Nashville but I couldn't find anyone that wanted to go to the Opry with me. I found the jacket that I wore to that concert the other day and it made me smile about that night. James is such a wonderful person and he turned out to be a good friend for the short time that I stayed in Nashville. It has been a long road for him but I can't imagine anyone that deserves the success more than him.

PS Sorry I didn't get any pictures for the video.

I would love to hear James during his earlier days! (smiles)

The more that I learn about his earlier days.....I hope that we get to hear his earlier singing some day! Thank you so much for telling about him! (smiles)

God bless you and him always!!!

Thanks Vonna and Holly

Thanks for the comments. Vonna and Holly. I remember when James played the Jimmy Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner for graduation. He did a great job. I still have that vhs tape. Its kinda cool to look back when we were just young bucks and to see how good James was even back then. I remember when he was playing for The Desert Fire band. I always thought he was going to do great things. Keep up the ottomated enthusiasm.

Rich

Got any stories that you can tell us about James? (smiles)

I would love to hear about his earlier days! (smiles)

God bless you and him always!!!

I agree!

Even though I haven't known James for as long as you Rich, I agree with your post! He is such a great person, and totally deserves his success! Glad to see you posting here too!
